And Boy Wonder dressed as Mickey Mouse. This was his first time to go trick-or-treating. After one house he learned the routine. And after two blocks his bucket was heavy and began to thunk, thunk, thunk on the sidewalk as he walked. He wasn't one bit afraid and never seemed to tire. I tried to carry his bucket for him, but he wanted it back. When we carried him to cross the street, he fussed until we put him back down to walk.
There are always firsts as we go through life. Sometimes they are more precious than others. I have never really been a huge fan of Halloween, never liked dressing up as a kid, hated walking up to strangers' homes for candy. But last night watching those two little boys have so much fun made it my favorite Halloween ever.
And that's this week's Great Thing!
I just love seeing this photo of you all together! Jennie - you and Caleb have the same look going on; something that says, yes, Halloween is tolerable but just give me some candy and let's forget about the other stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun to watch Isaiah be a bit bashful at the first couple houses and then warm up to the idea and want to run from house to house. They both had fun, we had perfect weather, and memories were made. Life Is Good
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing the sweet memory you just made. It made me happy.
